## Shrink_SlabonGround

The stress model for analyzing the edge-drop of a slab-on-ground due to evaporation. See the models Shrink_Initial and Shrink_Transient for the seepage models that generate the intitial and final pore-water pressure conditions for this model.

This model is presented in the Unsaturated Soil Mechanics in Engineering Practice textbook.

Section 1.6.9 Example of Combined Stress, Seepage, and Deformation Analysis.

## SwitchOnGravity

This model demonstrates the total vertical and horizontal stresses in a soil mass with a sloping ground surface with stresses computed by switching on gravity forces.

This model is presented in the Unsaturated Soil Mechanics in Engineering Practice textbook.

Section 3.4.2 Coefficient of Lateral Earth Pressure.

Figure 3.13

Note that in Figure 3.13a in the original printing the contour line for 100kPa is mislabeled as 110kPa.

## ThreelayerWith1WeakSoilBand

This model demostrates the results of using a stress analysis on a slope to determine the location of the critical slip surface. The location of the critical slop surface is part of the "dynamic programming" technique.

This model is presented in the Unsaturated Soil Mechanics in Engineering Practice textbook.
