Snap to Mesh

The Snap to Mesh menu item allows the user to ensure exact alignment of one geometry object mesh with the mesh from a separate object. Specifically, any mesh point on the original mesh is replaced with (snapped to) the mesh point on the target mesh, within a user-defined tolerance. This is useful to prevent mesh overrefinement when two meshes contain nearly-identical values instead of touching at exact mesh points.

This operation is done in-place; that is, no new geometry is created - the original mesh is replaced with the new one.
