Introducing SVOFFICE5/GE

Slope Stability of a Tailings DamSVOFFICE™5/GE builds on the success of our previous SVOffice™2009 product and provides the power of the FlexPDE™ finite element solution engine. FlexPDE™ provides the benefits of a general finite element solver, fully automatic mesh generation and mesh refinement in 1D, 2D, and 3D models.

The mature and simplified user interface is the result of 14 years of refinement and features a brand new “dual-mode” project manager. It helps new users get up and running fast and presents more advanced users with an expanded, fully-featured user interface.

The suite offers a geotechnical and geoenvironmental applications focus and is well suited for solving complex flow and contaminant transport models.

The SVSLOPE® package has continued to improve and can now create 3D models of increased complexity. This is due in part to a significant addition to SVOFFICE™5/GE...the new SVDESIGNER™ conceptual modeling software package. This brand new software program is tightly integrated within SVOFFICE™5/GE and allows for the representation and manipulation of complex 3D geometry and takes 3D modeling to a whole new level.

Heap LeachSVSLOPE®3D also takes full advantage of a new and improved graphics engine that provides faster representation and viewing of increasingly complex 3D models.

A re-designed SVSOILS™ application is now fully integrated with the product suite. This newly upgraded software allows simpler estimations of unsaturated hydraulic properties for groundwater seepage modeling. Also implemented is the ability to manage constitutive behaviours of complex oil-sand tailing materials.

Other capabilities include full coupling including the calculation of actual evaporation with SVFLUX™ and SVHEAT™, which make it the world’s premier package for analysis of earth covers.

SVOFFICE™5/GE offers advanced coupling between software products for the solution of complex models involving flow / thermal / pore-air coupling or flow / transport numerical models. For example, pore-water pressures can be imported to form the basis of a slope-stability model.

The SVFLUX™ and SVCHEM™ coupling provides an advanced solution for environmental problems involving fate and transport. The automatic mesh refinement is particularly useful for accurate solution of models with a moving contaminant front.
